Adventure Training Facility

Today, I went for the ATF in Pulau Ubin. I dreaded it at first.. Especially yesterday cause a LOT of pple were not going and ponning.. But I decided to go anyways.

Left home at around 6.45 and met the others at the bus stop outside school. At first, I thought only 2-4 pple will be going(that's why I was quite sian about the thing also) but to my surprise, 8 pple went! WOO! I was surprised. Haha. Actually, Benjamin, Wendy and Kathy were the sec5s so 5 from my batch of NCOs went. Not bad not bad.. More than I thought :/ haha. The 8 of us, Pei Ling( the H/O) and Mr Tan.. 10 of us occupied the WHOLE school bus. haha. It took us to the Jetty and we rode a bum boat to Pulau Ubin. By this time, I wasn't that sian liao. 8 pple really quite good sia. Gt other schs 12 haha. Anws, we took a van to the Campsite and even saw the Monfort boys walking there on our way there.

We basically did the HIGH ELEMENTS and they were FUN! Haha! fun fun fun. First was the Flying Fox. It was quite alright.. Didn't thrill me that much maybe cause I did it like a few times before.. haha. Then was the Pamper...Pole...? Aiya boring if I juz say out what we do. Shall write the interesting stuff. haha.

We HATE Mr Roystan!! Urgh. He is an Indian man with a thick mustache and sometimes, orange shades. But.. That's not the point. When he saw that we didn't have water bottles, he made us go tell Mr Tan "we don't have water bottles". What the...-_- and we were not even told to bring the water bottles to his Station!! Somemore, he said it as if we were doing something seriously wrong or wat. anws, we Did go and tell mr tan. And Mr tan was like... ya? whats the problem -_- Ha! -_- haha. I think he wanted Mr tan to scold us or wat.. ._. For not bringing water bottles to his station? what the.. And it's nt even we didnt bring it to the place.. Juz nt to his station.. Were in our bags.. haha.

Some pple were asked to do the.. thing.. Hold the rope which is connected to the ladder for the high elements. The ladder was to let the person doing the high elements to grab on if he/she cannot go on liao. Sadly, I was the only one from my school to do it ._. Urgh. And it was DAMN tiring and HOT. It was like around 12+? The sun was right above us, and we were standing there with nothing blocking us. Somemore, I had to keep looking up to see where the person on top is, and if I should pull the ladder to him or not. The sun was DAMN bright. And I had to keep looking at it. Urgh. We were literally being cooked alive. Luckily, there were pple from other schs doing it also. So at least I wasn't that bored. haha. Made a couple new friends :/ When we did it for like half an hour or so, we wanted to change with those sitting in the Training Shed so we could take a break. We were really tired. So, we POLITELY asked Mr ROYSTAN if we could get soem substitutes. At first, he "didnt even" hear us la. Although we were shouting super loud. WHen I went to him then he noticed me. But when I asked him POLITELY if we could get subs, he said "it's gonna finish soon" and we were made to stand in the glaring sun, once again. -_- Grrr... @#&$ Mr roystan :/

Oh Yea, before that thing, at the Pamper Pole, I also managed to talk to one of the instructors. Big, tanned and bear-like. Didn't even know his name, although he said we can call him "bear-bear"? -.- GAY. Anws, found out that they get 40 bucks a day for doing this thing. Not that much I think.. for something so tiring, but he said he's nt in it for the money but its cause he was interested in this kind of stuff. Woahhh.. He said he's gonna go for NS REAL soon. Good luck for that, man. haha

We had lunch after the "standing in sun" thing. haha. It was a packet of rice with scrambled egg, vegetables, and three pieces of chicken. wing. haha. It was Ok, but I kind of enjoyed it :/ I was REALLY hungry then. After that packet of rice, I had two bananas. haha.

After the lunch was the short threoy part about facilitating. After that, we all juz continued with the rest of the activities. I was chosen to be one of those ladder pple AGAIN! URGH! Why so unlucky. haha. But thankfully, this time, the sun was not as hot(although it was still quite)

When I went up the structure for my high elements thing, I got to see my old friends from Hougang; Vincent the Octopus and Zi Qian. Woo! quite lucky to get to meet them haha.

Oh yeah, before I forget, in the training shed, Wendy touched... the dead, squished, flat millipede accidentally. haha. Gross. Really. Its juz squished there. haha. Dried up somemore.

Finished the whole course at like 4.30+ and took a van back to the Pulau Ubin Jetty. Along the way, I thought to myself... this is... like the last time I would be in Pulau Ubin as a Part of Np... Or at least the Anderson Npcc.. haha.. Anyways, got to the singapore jetty at 5. From there, the school bus fetched us to the school and we all went home.

After...

I got SUNBURNT! AH! Really really red. Especially my face and hands. Nose is very red now, like clown haha.
My eyes are SUPER red now. As in, REALLY red. Bloodshot. The white parts are all red. Covered with red colour FULLY.. Although... I don't feel any pain or itchyness or anything. They feel normal. Haha. Hmm.. I think it's because I looked at the sun too much? Dunno.. They look pretty scary now. haha.

Anyways, although it was a very tiring day, it was FUN. haha..(like compo like that the ending) -_- haha. Made a few friends, got to see my old friends, and learned and tried a couple of stuff. haha. tiredddd
