BACK FROM THE CAMP

I'M BACK FROM THE CAMP!! WOOO!!! HURRAY!!

I'm quite tired now... although i slept a few hours liao, my legs are aching. haha

THE CAMP

After school on Friday, at around 2.45, I was asked to go to the Np room to discuss stuff about the camp. I was abit reluctant to go because I was still doing my homework and the camp actually starts at 4.. But... I went anyways.. at 3 after packing my bag and stuff. haha.
When I reached the Np room, Jiankai(who was in NTUC) asked me to go there to help carry the food rations for the camp which they bought. And they were already on their way to the cashier then. So, I rushed there as fast as I could. I ran to NTUC from school in a couple of minutes. By the time I reached there, I was sweating quite profusely. haha. But they were still at the cashier. *teet* *teet* The stuff were still being err... teeted? ANWS, After the "teet"ing, we had a whole trolley of instant noodles, canned food like baked beans and canned pinapples and curry chicken, 6 packs of BREAD, jars of Kaya and some other food which I cant remember liao; all for the sec2s and 3s' lunch and dinner[although.. there were actually a lot mor ethan enough]
I carried ALL the canned food on my right hand, and a big, stuffed pack of instant noodles on my left hand, and yes, the canned food was pretty heavy. haha.
Anws, after reaching school, we juz discussed about the camp. I discussed with Bing Yun about the Campfire; what cheers we will sing and stuff.
Then came the actual camp. After changing into our PT kits, we went to the porch, where our juniors were. Haha. Then, we had the attendance taking and bag check. Haha! The bag check was damn funny! Got pple bring Pokemon Guidebook! And Gameboy and many other stuff like that. haha -_- But I dun blame them la.. Sec1s wat. When we were in sec2, I remember one of the sec1s brought a teddy bear or something. haha!
Anyways, after the checking, we all split up and went with our own groups. I was in charge of Group C with Siew Boon. We played games like er.... Concentration? and... some others. haha. Then, they discussed about their group performance. But I was not there to see wat it was because I had to go help with the campfire halfway during that session. haha. We coated the firewood with kerosine and set them up for the campfire. Sadly, we screwed up and the Girl Guides ended up helping us.[Yea, we looked quite pathetic, but it was also not actually our fault. We did not even get to learn the setting up of firewood from our seniors...] But Anws, I would like to thank the girl guides for helping us. THX! haha. Oh yeah, I also got a cut while setting up the campfire. I thought it was from that zinc foil when I was carrying them, but later(a few hours later) then I realised that there was this small splinter of wood which was like... sunk into the flesh at the part of the cut. I had a bit trouble removing it cause I was using my fingers to er... Pluck it out. -_- haha But I did it anws. Woo! And the pain slowly faded away. [I admit it was kind of gross plucking out the thing -_- but if I didn't do it, maybe could have been worse. Like the wound becoming swollen or something. haha]
After that, the NCOs all ate dinner. Then, it was the campfire.
Of course, with so much stuff we had to do, and so little manpower, I couldn't really prepare my speech. So, it was a BIT impromptu haha. However, the campfire went smoothly, and I think I did quite well as the MC! Bingyun talked a bit at the start but later dunno why dun wan talk liao. But anyhow, I think me "MC"ing here was MUCH better than during the P.O.P last year when I was also the MC. (Ehh... come to think of it, why am I always chosen the Mc... -_-..) The starting was quite dead... Like I tried to make them shout and stuff, but didnt work. However, I managed to make them shout louder and stuff later. YES! Good job, Arkar! *Pats Arkar on shoulder* *Pats Arkar on shoulder again* *Pats Arkar on Shoulder again* -.-
After the group performances, we had the Ms NPCC 2006! Woo! It was actually Perrene's Idea. I juz helped pack the things and stuff. haha. The cadets were supposed to send one male representative from each group to be dressed up as a model with whatever material we gave them(big black garbage back, straws, newspapers, etc.)
Well, overall, I think the campfire was a success..! Wooohooo!
After that, the juniors got to see this "horror" movie where the only part I saw was this thin guy turning fat? -_-.. Like... The guy juz... Inflated on the spot. haha! Funny Rite? haha. But the Ncos juz got to see a bit cause we were busy preparing for the Nightwalk. After the movie was the nightwalk. And I was stationed in the Girls' Toilet... -_- Anws, was pretty boring. At least for me. haha.
After the nightwalk ended at like 1.50am, we had to send the little kids to sleep. haha. We did sentry duty("watch guard" the kids' rooms)and Me and Jiankai volunteered to be the first. haha.
Upon finishing the sentry duty, we washed up and finally got to sleep. Hurray! The best part was, we got to sleep in the AVT! AHH!! IT was heaven, I tell u. H-E-A-V-E-N! Imagine sleeping in an air-conditioned room, after a looonnnnnggggggggg, tiring day. haha. Yup. That was the feeling. And it felt gooooood! haha. So, I fell asleep probably around 3.45am. ZZZzzzz....

THE NEXT DAY
Some of us woke up at 5.15 to prepare the games for THE AMAZING RACE which we were gonna play as the last item of the day, and the camp. Time passed pretty fast.
At like 7(i think), we had PT! Haha. And guess wat? I took them for PT!! With Leroy, the PT.I. haha. Well, actually, we were like supposed to scold them and be VERY strict with them cause "their discipline was not up to standard" as said by the CI. But... we couldn't scold them la. After all, we ARE good NCOs :D -.-... haha So, we juz gave them a MODERATELY "tough" pt. haha.
After Pt, while the kids ate their breakfast happily, I was busy tying the water "balloons" for my station in THE AMAZING RACE. Thankfully, Leroy, Mr Koh and Jiankai came one after another for a while and helped me tie some. Wooo! Thx!! Leroy, Mr Koh and Jianaki! haha.
Well, at around 8.40, I went back to the Np room and grabbed a Breakfast bar and ate it for my breakfast. I also saw pple like Zhongming and Cixin standing there. Haha. Honestly, it felt kind of good seeing them. Like... See ur friends after a looong time. haha. And they were SO CLEAN! Unlike me and the rest of the np pple. haha. At 9, it was the talk by Mrs Poh and we all HAD to attend it. Haha. And as expected, I dozed off a LOT of times. Haha. Oh well, tired wat. haha. While we were attending the talk, the juniors(from Np) were having a Capt ball tournament. haha.
After the talk, we went back to our camp and started THE AMAZING RACE!!!! *DUm dum dum dum! dum dum. dum dum dummMM. dum Dum DUM!!*(err.. that was suppsod to be the amazing race theme music. haha)
I went ot my station and got ready. Actually, I thought of letting them plya something like Dog and Bone with the water balloons, but after the first group tried it, we found that it was very sian so we had to change it. We changed the way the game was played many many times. like every group also different one. haha. But I have to thank Wendy for helping me with the thinking of the Games also. haha. And Bingyun for helping me at the station. haha. The water balloons ran out Pretty fast. Especially the first group who used around HALF of all the water balloons which were previously tied. And they had the LEAST fun. Urgh.. What a waste. But actually, they were quite pitiful. The station was supposed to be the most fun one cause it was a wet activity, but I don't think they had much fun... :/ oh well... Anyways, the water balloons ran out very very fast, and I had to keep tying and tying. My finger tips were all wrinkly and stuff. And, my index finger and thumb on both side felt quite painful by the time the activities were over. Now still a bit painful. haha.
So, after THE AMAZING RACE, it was finally over. We had a short debrief for the little kids and gave out the Leftover food to them. There was a LOT of leftovers as they did not have their lunch today as we had planned. The funniest part was the giving out of MILO. Haha! There was a LOT of Milo and Pocari Packets left and we gathered them all into one plastic bag. Then, i took the bag to the kids and asked "Who likes milo here?" And guess wat? They ALL started Screaming and Yelling "ME! ME!" while raising their hands and waving them frantically in the air! It was damn funny! Like got those little kids in the circus when the clown ask for a volunteer. Haha! Then, we had fun giving out the packets. Haha.
After that, we broke camp and after a short debrief by the CIs, we also went home. Haha. It had been a bit tiring and stuff, but definitely fun and enjoyable. I think the camp was pretty much of a success. CONGRATS to all NCOs Who were Involved in the CAMP!! WE DID IT!! Haha.

The rest of the day...

After leaving the school, we bought drinks at the shop opposite the school. I bought a 1.5Litre Green Tea bottle. haha. Hey, I was very thirsty. And I managed to finished like 1/2-3/4 of the bottle in a minute or two. -_- Although... when I tied my shoelace and got up, I had a bit of difficulty breathing due to the massive amount of green tea in my stomach. haha.
At the MRT station, I met the 4/6 pple doing their Flag day. haha. [I think ours is nxt week] Then, I put 10c into almost all their tin cans. haha. Then, we took the same train cause I went home and they went to Orchard. haha.

At home.... Usual stuff la.. So I won't type liao. and anyways, this entry is getting pretty long so I think I'll juz end it here. haha.

Less than a month left until we pass out... And it was all so fast... It felt like yesterday that we took over... and even our first training in Np seems as if it was only a while ago. Well, I guess we all have to move on ultimately. Haha. Honestly, I wanted to pass out because then, I won't have to spend so much time on my CCA and do so much stuff for it.. But now that I think of it, maybe I don't wanna pass out yet because of my juniors :/ Training juz got more fun with their new-found enthusiasm during the trainings and it makes me kind of sad to stop training them. But..... oh well, as I said, we have to move on and so, I guess before we know it, we would have passed out and the same would also go for the 'O's. Haha. Everything would juz pass us by and only whether we had really made the right decision or not would be left behind with us. Whether we had enjoyed that activity or not, whether it was really what we wanted it to be, would all depend on the choices we make at the moments we are supposed to. So, I guess we have to make the right choices in everything we do so that when we look back on them, we would not feel any regret. HURRAY! :D
